very cool!
Ah, that’s beautiful. I can hear Dr. Hook and the Medicine Show belting out the tune now :-).
Andrew I think your spot on about the lack of communities of embodiment (“church”) in ETMC. I think after “The Secret Message of Jesus” Brian could have written a wonderful book called “The Secret Communities of Jesus” about communities embodying the kingdom. But maybe that’s the importance of Tom’s (Sine) new book, The New Conspirators.
Another concern for me was the book did well on economics and politics but fell short on it being good news for the cosmos. The transformation in the book seemed limited to our witness to the new creation. I think for our ecological witness to move passed changing our light bulbs to changing the way we live on the land we must recover the kingdom is the transformation of all of creation.
But I love Brian and I’m so glad he’s doing what he is doing but more so I give thanks for the Christlike ways he does it.
P.S.
go carting? You guys crack me up
go carting in prague. theres a difference. we rented out the whole thing as part of our conference and had a big race.
they let us race without helmets.
Mark Pierson of NZ was the favourite because his dad ran go carts but actually, Kirsten Hack of Berlin won the race, just beating me.
