The Reformation: How a Monk and a Mallet Changed the World

1581348290Book Review: The Reformation: How a Monk and a Mallet Changed the World, by Stephen j. Nichols

Its a delightful and delicious book on the Reformation. You know it has to be when the chapter titles include “Some middle-aged men and a Sausage Supper” a title [which influenced my 2006 Reformation post “A Little Scottish Oats with Your Bratwurst?”. Its not a long or comprehensive book but its tight, thoughtful, it covers a lot of important ground, and it pleasantly addressed the issues i brought with me when i opened the first page. I highly recommend it. Well done!

Thanks a lot for doing these reviews, they are quite helpful. Especially for those of us trying to wade through all of the things we would like to read through. I own most of these titles but haven’t gotten through them. Your insights are helping to provide a starting point.
