We just finished volunteering at the Organic River Festival. It’s an amazing thing to set up a village out of nothing, share a great experience with a lot of people, and then pack it all down again.
Highlights were hanging out with young people from Germany and France (WOOFers) who were the main volunteer force, hearing some good music, meeting some house truckers, and thinking through what it means to live lighter on the earth, so that others who share our planet can also live.
Our truck is fully solar powered and we have been collecting rain water, all of which is good, but our next step will be to convert it to vegetable oil sometime this year.
Thinking global. Trying hard to act local.
Just reading the title, I had some amazing realizations. There are more generations to come and earth has only if not limited, destructible resources and landscapes. We need to only take our share of it and do our best to preserve what we can.
Nigel converted our bus in the states to veggie. Maybe you should do it in woodville:)

Well done with the truck changes. What about adding a composting toilet? Or a bio-gas creator for cooking? But the weight will make it even slower 🙂
weight not a big issue. good ideas!
maybe start growing some salad greens or kitchen veggies on the roof? or up the walls?
we sometimes have them inside on the window sill. debbie is hoping to add a box for 3 chickens very soon.
Congratulations with the truck changes. What about adding a composting bathroom? Or a bio-gas creator for cooking.THANKS
