I wish I knew. I have lived in a lot of countries. I currently live in Scotland with my American wife and our 5 kids that were born on 3 continents. I travel a third of my time. I will tell you why i travel so much on another occasion. I was born in New Zealand (I am a Kiwi) and spent 17 years of my life there. So I have spent my life in these places:
17 years in New Zealand
10 years in USA
7 years in Australia
3 years in Czech Republic
3 years in UK
1 year in Latin America
3 months in Canada
2 months in Asia
and time in various other places including Africa.
What does that make me? At least I am a citizen of heaven and get some security from knowing that I belong somewhere.
Where in Canada?
this world is not your home pilgrim!!
wow. I have to admit, I had forgotten you existed all of last month and hadn’t known you were blog-fasting. And then just thought of you today. The day you finish your fast – weird. I must be a part of that small committed readership without even knowing it!
Oh, and an impressive list of belonging, I’d say!

Welcome back! In my own spiritual journey the Lord has been popping my bubble too.
hey skinny it’s good to have you back
lookkin forward to the new direction of your blog
peace out
Do you speak Czech?
You need some more time in Canada, eh! If at the very least to try some Quebecois poutine, mmmm.
I’m glad you fasted because I’m glad you’re sort of starting over. Thank you for the history.
The other day I did a talley and realized that I’ve lived in 14 places in 3 countries over the last 15 years. I’ve hauled my poor wife and 3 sons everywhere from backwater Developing World villages to sophisticated urban areas. This has made my sons into “TCKs” (Third Culture Kids) and has, with the grace of God, grown them into interesting, cultured little fiends despite being dragged all over the world!
Blessings to you on your new season of blogging.
welcome back.
Hi -I’m pretty new around here, so I guess I didn’t miss you being away but welcome back anyway! But I can relate to this, I’m currently on my 4th country with more than a tourist visa stamped in the passport. I like to think I belong to the planet, although I’ve only hit 3 continents so far. But good to be reminded my citizenship is firmly in the kingdom of Heaven (I wonder if they issue passports?!).
Hey Andrew,
Liam from Aberdeen here, nice to have you back blogging and really refreshing to be able to be introduced to you again.
Nice title graphic, very web2.0
Liam
Hi Andrew, its great to have you around again!
…missed your blog updates, TSK.
Good to have you back, bro’
J 🙂
Welcome back.
I am from the United Staes, born in the midwest, lived in New York and California (never again God willing), have served the kingdom of God in Iowa (not a bad place really), Western Michigan (awesome) and now in suburban Chicago. The midwest of the USA is a good place to visit. You are welcome anytime.
Andrew – great to have you back. I look forward to learning more about you through these entries.
3 years in the Czech Republic! – Wouldn’t have guessed that. Would love to know what brought you to each of these places.
where in canada?
victoria, vancouver, newfoundland, PEI, new brunswick, quebec, montreal.
Speak Czech?
despite studies at Charles university, i hardly understand it at all.
Well, at least you hit Montreal. Otherwise you would have been robbed by having only the bi-coastal experience. The prairies still await…
