There is NO WAY in the world I will get best blog but I might have a chance at the Lifetime Achievement Award because there will be less bloggers in that category. This award is given to bloggers who have been blogging at least since July 2001 (thats me) and the prize is two registrations for SXSW in 2007 – something that I would KILL FOR greatly desire.
Anyway – if you were wanting to give kudos and say thanks to me for (almost) 5 years of Tall Skinny Kiwi, then you have 2 days left to nominate me. Entries close on Tuesday 10th January.

andrew … are you a film buff or go for the music? my son is a film maker … he was in the movie ‘primer’ that won sundance two years ago … he is trying to get his new movie (tinman) in SXSW in 06 … dont know the status at this point. good luck with the tics!!

i go for the interactive side of the festival and sometimes i enjoy the poetry slams.
we started doing a small conference/party alongside the festival in 1999 and have kept this up most years. Every second year i try to turn up to SXSW to help with these events.
They have included Ecclesia Worship Installation (1999), Epicenter (2001) Wabi Sabi (2003)
A lot of us go to SXSW anyway so it makes sense to integrate with our own schedule.
