I think Just One Nod was one of my favorite posts of all time.

me too, darryl. even though i only wrote it 2 weeks ago.
it is an australian poem, written when i was in australia and in an australian dialect – “me dad”
it is also an australian struggle – the aussie man struggling to express emotion, the most obvious emotion coming to the surface being anger and rage and the striking out physically to express interior feelings.
so glad you like it. it was healing for me to write it. very healing. and healing for you and others to read it.
    much thanks

“Just One Nod” was definitely my favorite. I read it over and over again and it just kind of washed over me. My own father has had some personal tragedy over the last couple of years, has been left alone, and life has really worn him down. I was really inspired to fight for him to see Jesus and know His grace while He is still in the land of the living. Thanks for your transparency and poetry.
I also thought a lot about when you went to see your brother in prison and he came running to you, jumped in your arms, and shouted, “My brother, My brother.” That was beautiful.
