How secure is the internet?

Not very. Only way to stay truly secure is to not turn on your computer or not hook up to the internet. So said one of the guys who heads up Privacy International. We had a good chat at the Tech Active panel discussion on Monday. I figured i would ask him all my security questions. He also said that a home server is more secure than having your server hosted at a large company. I have always held that everything is pretty much public online, and this was confirmed by these security professionals.
