Insania: God will restore

“Do do do do do
Too much Insania

Pray for the time when GOD will restore . . .”

Peter Andre, Insania (next release)
As sung live on Ministry of Mahem, May 22, 2004. Will he release it with “God” or “love”?

here is the full version of the song, with the previous “love” instead of “God”. i hope he changes it permanently.
for those of you outside of england, many of us dont really like pop, but we did watch peter andre write this song on “I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here”

Insania

to be released May 31st 2004

Do do do do do
Do do do do do
Do do do do do
This is Insania

Do do do do do
Do do do do do
Do do do do do
Too much Insania

Take a look around
At what technology has found
Is it what we need?
Or are we killing the seed?
Dictated by the screen
No more following your dreams
The world’s become a difficult place to be

Where are we going?
Does anyone care
Hold on to real love
There’s so much to share

Do do do do do
Do do do do do
Do do do do do
This Is Insania

Do do do do do
Do do do do do
Do do do do do
Too much Insania

Aging will reverse
Cloning will diverse
Insanity is slowly, creeping into our lives, yeah
Where is yesterday?
Cause people ain’t the same
Have we lost the faith?
Or have we lost our minds

Where are we going?
Does anyone care
Hold on to real love
There’s so much to share

Do do do do do
Do do do do do
Do do do do do
This Is Insania

Do do do do do
Do do do do do
Do do do do do
Too much Insania

Pray for the time when love will restore
Let’s kill all the pain
Let our hearts be the core
No more war

Where are we going?
Does any one care?
Hold onto real love
There’s so much to share

Adlib to fade

  • dear andrew,
i read your blog on regular occasions and find your insight and thoughts on church, emerging culture, life, music, church, family and other stuff very interesting.
    *insert sarcasm here*
i am however deeply concerned about your recent post including a Peter Andre song. I am sure that as an ex-aussie you would be aware of our general disowning of that young man. this disowning was very much needed due to past musical “failures” and flooding of his “music” in our pop market back in the early 90’s.
Thanks to this post my memories of this time and of his previous musical attempts have flooded back and sent me into severe mental trauma. Along with these memories I have caught myself humming to Kylie Minogue’s early songs of “I should be so lucky” and “locomotion.” This post has caused my brain to relive the bad musical efforts by Australians in the early 90’s and i fear that I shall not be able to sleep ever again.
    Ever again.
    *Cut out sarcasm here*
I recently bought Jimmy Barnes’ new single “in the name of God” with his new supergroup “Living Loud” and I hope that I will not find myself purchasing Pete’s new release 🙂
Nice lyrics… though if i did purchase the song i’d be forcing my phsyche to have to deal with severe trauma.

    darren,
    i agree with you and am just as much a cultural snob as you – but i have to bring up the obvious hermaneutical question;
when paul said to the Athenians, in the Book of Acts “as your own poets have said . . ” did he go on to quote a high-culture elitist piece of Greek poetry known only to the educated,
    or,
did he in fact quote a well known, “popular”, common day piece of poetry that they all would know?
    and if the latter,
did some of the believers present say. .”ahh Paul, dont quote that one- its been top 40 for too many weeks and only teenyboppers like it”?

  • You’re right of course, which is why Ive used Stacie Orrico in church before, although it hurt a lot to do so… it hurt a LOT to do so.
Mind you i am secretly hoping that in Australia that song doesnt hit the top 40… hey, I’ve just started http://thealternativehymnal.blogspot.com/ primarily aiming at the church network i have hear but thought you might have some suggestions 🙂
btw, thanks for the Couch Grass Ecclesiology, I won’t ignore the pain and depression and say “i hope things will get better” but i will pray that you feel God suffering alongside you… sometimes everything seems broken, or is broken and thats when i feel God the most.
You’ll see the friends sometime in the near future and there’ll be another emergent sometime in the near future.
Anyhow, I have to go and “preach” and in solidarity with you I won’t shave for it…
