This week I have found myself praying for the economy, in the midst of turmoil. I stumbled on a good article called The Mortgage Crisis and the Economy from Christian Personal Finance who btw are hosting a 10-Day Give Project beginning October 10. The idea is that you give something to someone different every day for ten days.

Andrew Jones has been blogging since 1997. He is based in San Francisco with his two daughters but also travels the globe to find compelling stories of early stage entrepreneurs changing their world. Sometimes he talks in the third person. Sometimes he even talks to himself and has been heard uttering the name "Precious" :-)
Andrew – thanks for the mention!!
thank you for your timely article. hope the 10 Day Give works out well.
Hi, Andrew. I found the following perspective on the economic bail-out quite informative, if not a bit more gritty than the CPF report. I’m not sure if leaving a link in the comments is cool w/ you, therefore I do so trepidly.
Cheers,

very cool link to the 10 day give, Andrew. I’ve been thinking recently that as Christians we should be giving MORE in a recession rather than less – now is when this love that we have is most needed.
sorry, its in german – but it fits very well.

ups, wrong theme – I meant: Now that we have stopped emerging . . . – sorry
Here’s a question I’ve been wondering about recently: If the world is going into recession is this really the time to be starting up social enterprises? Any thoughts?
maybe its just me but . . . if starting a social enterprise means equipping the poor for microbusinesses that will move them out of poverty and into a sustainable lifestyle AND benefit the society at the same time, then it sure beats lowering the interest rate so they can borrow for a new car.
