In the way of Despair.com and their demotivational posters, but without the sarcasm, Mean Dean is posting a series of 7 posters dealing with the 9/11 tragedy. The first one is called Horror nand you can progress through to number 7 (Resolve), exploring the range of emotions along the way.
I was in Berlin on Sep 9, 2001 at a conference with missions leaders. Outside on the streets, there were small “altars” of flowers, gifts, pictures, and pieces of art that people had created to express what was going on inside them as well as offer it to the wider community. I stopped next to one, took out a piece of paper and a pen, and wrote some poetry which I left on the altar. Art is a gift to help us make sense of tragedy and express in ways more profound than conversation.
