I was asked to send in some thoughts on Brad Sargent for his retirement tomorrow from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary. This is what i sent:
“My two cents [that make sense] regarding Brad Sargent, the smartest guy in the emerging church whose retirement is more like a promotion to the next thang:
Sense one: Brad is an anagram for Bard.
Sense two: Brad’s understanding of God’s body in this new culture will advance beyond its present confines and the golden gates will not stand against it.

Many of you might remember Brad as Futurist Guy (red cap) from Suddenly Seminary.

Brad is a genious and his writing and thinking will be future seminary material. He has sown some great seeds in our little neck of the woods and his contribution to emerging leaders here is stellar.
Brad is a genius. Hire him someone. thrwo money at him. Do something!
actually . .. i have already offered to bring him to our community for a month as the resident monk.
