The 11:11 Community

Got an email today from a diverse community who are being aggregated around the number 11:11. My Proverbs 11:11 post has got me some google-kudos and i have been linked into an 11-11 forum of people who have found each other by Googling "11:11". Its a good example of the way new communities are formed around ideas, conversations, and in this case, some numbers. There is even a related 11-11 blog.

  • Welp (Scooby talk) … me must confess, despite my blog for Jesus, that the one number that has consistently made itself known to me is 4:20. Nothing too prophetic or whoo-whoo about that, sadly. Over and over again that’s the number I see the most, no matter where I go. And just this weekend my eyes happened to catch it imprinted in a block of sidewalk cement, virtually unnoticeable to someone without a … skilled eye. Not THAT kind of skilled, experienced, yes, but not, you know, SKILLED skilled like a pro or anything.
    Ugh. Just click send already.

  • Ugh, feeling convicted for sharing what I shared in my comment earlier. Sure don’t want to glorify the drug culture associated with 4:20, and every time mentions that number, I think that’s exactly what happens. :o(

  • i had a dream about the number 11 several years ago and ever since 11’s pop up in my life on a fairly regular basis. I have no idea if it’s supposed to mean something like a prophetic dealio from heaven, but I have become quite fond of this double digit. So last week when I was getting a few tattoo patches inked on my arm I last minute said to my artist, Hey, let’s throw an 11 in there somewhere.
    And so she did.
And it just goes so nicely with the bad-ass 13 I got a couple years back on Friday the 13th.
