Mark at Stratagility has a good thought:
“… The Knowledge Economy is not what the next phase of human progress is all about. The next phase in human progress is a many to many, fully participator and self organizing society.”
– “. . .I sense a more accurate & better picture of progress is as follows:
unorganized -> hierarchically organised -> emergently organized”
From “Its about Particpatory Culture! not the Knowledge Economy”

Sounds a bit like the stuff I’m doing my diploma thesis about.
johannes – being the geek you are
how would a blogger incorporate the tag feature that this guys uses
is it written in AJAX?
With this guys you mean the builders of basecamp?
Yes, they use AJAX. Most blogger would wait for their blogsoftware to implement AJAX comments but the real geeks would do it themselves and then contribute the made change to the builders of the blogsoftware =)

I’m afraid I am not persuaded by the views expressed at Stratagility. I’ve lobbed my own hasty animadversions here…

Daniel Peek has a book called A Whole New Mind where he makes the argument that we are moving from an information age (knowledge based) to a conceptual age. I found quite a few parallels with what some are saying in the emergent movement and this post is along the same lines.
Peek gives six “senses” that will be important in the new age: design, story, empathy, play, symphony, and meaning.
