Prayer for London after bombings

Thanks for your emails and concern. I left London on Sunday to come back up to Scotland. But I was on those trains, and at the same train stations. Aldgate. Kings Cross.

We all feel for those who have lost family and friends today. And we pray that God will speak tenderly to them and be their portion and strength today.

All our friends are safe – as far as we know. Shannon arrives back in London tomorrow, after spending last week with us in Orkney. Jonny is fine and had cancelled his meeting in the city before the attacks. Si is back in London after time with us in Orkney last week. . . “It feels like I’m back in Northern Ireland. All I can hear is a cacophony of sirens and helicopters whirring overhead.” Si Johnston

From Prayer leaders in Shetland:

“Pray for the City. The Lord warned us that there was extreme danger to the nation today. . . but we had anticipated it being in Scotland rather than in London. Ros has asked us to pray urgently

i) that if there are any unexploded bombs around they be located and made

safe, and

ii) against a second wave of attacks.

May the Lord be with all the police, security and medical teams, as well as with the wounded and the families of the beareved.

In Jesus,

Robert & Ros”

Praise God for answered prayers. This site has confirmed what we believed…. the second wave has been thwarted by God answering your prayers. Our Jules was arriving back in London and crossing alone to Shannon’s. We are mighty thankful for her safety. May the confusion in the failure be used to turn the attempted suicide bombers from their course of destruction. May God protect them from themselves and reveal Himself to them. To God be the Glory. As Jules asked, “Please pray”. love from a mum standing on the promises of God.
