Billy Graham on being “SAVED”

Billy Graham speaks out on getting “Saved“: “We have domestic problems; our homes are breaking up. We have business problems, health problems, family problems. Sometimes we want to scream at life. We want to escape. We try to escape the reality of everyday living by using drugs or alcohol, or even by trying suicide. We are like a man the Bible tells us about, a man who cried out, “What must I do to be saved?”

Wow, thanks for linking to my boss’ article. It’s rather unexpected, but then again, people still seem to respect Billy, so that’s good …

No offense to Billy Graham. But will someone who really needs to be “saved” understand that article?

For some reason (God), Billy Graham has been “understood” by millions for generations.
“Billy Graham has preached the Gospel to more people in live audiences than anyone else in history—over 210 million people in more than 185 countries and territories. Hundreds of millions more have been reached through the various ministries of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.”

steve, it shouldnt be unexpected. we all respect what billy graham has done and, even more, that he is still standing with integrity after all these years.
i pray we all can live so long and so well.
i helped with the BG crusade in San Francisco back in 1997 (98?). The BG team asked me what band they should invite to support billy, and i suggested “Jars of Clay” – which was a first for the billy Graham team.
Turned out alright. They put me on the radio and i gave a call out to the alternatives to come and hear Billy Graham. It was a real honor to work with the team.
Yes – crusade evangelism in its old skool form will die with billy, but hey – lets enjoy it while its around. I reckon anything Billy Graham says should be taken seriously . . .
in fact .. . . i repeated his advice to some young people a few days ago. . .
“Find out what God is doing in your generation, and join it” BG
