Happy birthday to me

andrewingreyMy party was last Friday, but today is my actual birthday. And i feel pretty good. I am 41 today. Last year was the big mid-life crisis birthday, which was quite hard for me. But I am now used to the idea of being in my 40’s. Which actually, is not that old. In fact, Dan Phillips, who started his new monastic blog yesterday out of Franklin, Tenn. has been married almost as long as i have been alive. Well done Dan!

What will I do today?
What i would like to do . . . is . . . spend a day redesigning my blog and give it to myself as a birthday present.
What i will actually be doing, is writing like crazy to meet some deadlines – reports, letters, requests, and a church planting strategy paper that the good people at 24-7prayer have requested by September 7.
A deadline on my birthday? How rude!

Thank you all for being my friends and extended family. For your interest in us, and prayers for us. And for your thoughts and good wishes for me on my birthday today. And thanks to Dan, for making me feel younger.

A birthday present for you? What a great idea. I have 5 Gmail accounts to give away. 1 Gig each. First five people who request them can have them. Comment or email.

Congratulations. Of course you made me feel older and I had to go to bed for 24 hours to get enough energy to get up (just kidding). Was trying to blog you back but Blogger for me is messed up. Who knows when I can publish something else again. Hope it is soon.
