Weekend Stuff

Paul Jackson is staying with us and we are enjoying him.
– Last night we attended BBQ event called “Grill the Bishop” at Grace. Jonny Baker and Steve Collins were there, as well as the Bishop of their diocese, who answered questions from his corner of the blanket on the grass. Good food!
– Today we are trying to get over to Clapton Park United Reformed Church and then to Phouc-Tan and Maggies at 2pm.
– Yesterday was my sister Lisa’s birthday.
– Shigeru Tsukura, who coordinates the Japan Youth Church Netwerk, lost his father last week. We pray for comfort.
– Our Abigail (almost 9) has the flu and is staying in.
– End of the world predicted Oct 23, 2004. That gives us all another 4 and a half months before the end of human race. Date is based on the Ussher-Lightfoot Calender. Tell you more if you are interested.
– I only had one cup of tea yesterday. I feel better already. Headaches may come today as i withdraw from caffeine.
– Went to the British Library yesterday and saw The Lindesfarne Gospel and the first English Bible. Did you know the Asians were printing before we were?
– That about it. Weather is fine in London.
Have a good weekend everyone.

Andrew – if you ever want to see the place where the Lindisfarne Gospels came from, please look me up and I’ll gladly show you around.
Thanks for your commitment to Jesus and the consequences.
