in fact, now that I think about it… my dad never even start of flying the flag until he became a Baptist!
This explains how I almost lost my ordination over dedicating a Sunday morning worship service to adult survivors of mother abuse giving testimony about finding grace to “honor father and mother” in creative ways on Mother’s day. I didn’t realize I was desecrating the holy of holies on the high holy day. I am lucky to still be alive.
