Glocalnet conference

bobBob Roberts is setting up an event called Glocalnet Church Multiplication Conference. Its great to see so many spelling mistakes on the web site of a large conference – it shows that non-english speakers might be involved (always a positive sign) and it is a welcome sign for bloggers – who are notorious for bad spelling – especially me.
Why is that? Probably because we write on the run, or are writing with one hand (when i am standing in a WiFi zone on the street) or i am at an internet cafe and would rather spend the extra money on a coffee instead of the time needed for a spell check.
UPDATE: They just corrected the mistakes, but the conference should be good anyway.

Are you going to be there, Andrew? Looks like a pretty interesting conference. I’ve met Bob Roberts, and God is really using him. I might try to make it to this conference.

    AJJ,
Remember meeting Mr. Roberts in St. Louis in may of ’02? At Search Party. He spoke about planting churches in Vietnam! Sweet.
I spoke at this last year and it really is amazing. Just to see the energy he has and how willing he is to simply go for it, it’s worth seeing.
They require new church plants to adopt a nation they will minister to. One guy who is planting in Sydney chose North Korea. Why not! was his reasoning.
Last year Robert’s church in suburban Fort Worth planted 13 churches. Yea, in one year! Who knows how many they’ll plant this year!
I recommend going to this for anyone, including the bad spelling. And yes they have lots of internationals flowing through that church.
    later,
    rob

Hi rob – yeah, of course i remember us all in the minivan.
I bump into Bob Roberts a lot. He also came to our Epicenter event in Austin 2001. Bob rocks and his conference would be well worth attending. Unfortunately, I will be on this side of the Atlantic.
