[grid blog:: advent] Seek

by andrew jones

the kingdom of God
an entrance
without applause
in genres unused
in fonts never bold
in places hidden

eluding those
who scramble for the prized
who lust after the spectacular
who never find themselves

the presence of God appears
among poor people
who are learning where to look

This is part of the global advent grid blogging ritual that kicks off today. Search here for other advent grid blogs. And come back on Dec 14th for the next one. If you want to play, Bob Carlton’s blog will get you started on the right track, since he is giving some leadership to this experiment and was the one who got my into it. i screwed up on my dates, I think, and should have posted this one on Dec 1. Sorry if i confused anyone. Always one in the bunch, isn’t there?

Andrew Jones has been blogging since 1997. He is based in San Francisco with his two daughters but also travels the globe to find compelling stories of early stage entrepreneurs changing their world. Sometimes he talks in the third person. Sometimes he even talks to himself and has been heard uttering the name "Precious" :-)

  • are you interested in the one across? the one across the street, the one across the room, the one across the lake, across the see, across the country … the one across? who is the one? who is it, who is unknown to you? who is the one, which is waiting for you? waiting to see the one across the street, waiting to meet the one across – you
