In 2016 my lovely wife of 29 years passed away from malaria in Ethiopia. I barely survived myself. My five children and I have dedicated ourselves to help prevent deaths from malaria and other insect borne diseases.
Since my wife’s death, I have had time to think about the malaria that ravaged our family. How could have we prevented it? What options are available? What is the global impact? What can we all do now to prevent deaths from mosquito borne diseases? Most of the literature out there is pretty boring – scientific, medical, data-based research. Not very personal. Which is why I started this page. And The Sophie Project. I hope you will join us in this endeavour.
