Fairtrade is another incredible way that the churches in Europe (esp. UK) have helped influenced the economic inequalities around the world. Fairtrade Labelling was created in the Netherlands in the late 1980s. Max Havelaar launched the first Fairtrade consumer guarantee label in 1986 on coffee sourced from Mexico. It is now all over the world, including USA.
