“Its a beautiful day!” (Bono) and its the perfect day to fess up our manifold sins and wickedness and let God clean us up.

“We acknowledge and bewail our manifold sins and wickedness, which we, from time to time, most grievously have committed, by thought, word and deed, against thy Divine Majesty, provoking most justly thy wrath and indignation against us. “We do earnestly repent and are utterly sorry for these honest doings. Doesn’t that feel good to read it out aloud from your heart??? After Charles and Camilla confessed their “manifold sins and wickedness” last week as part of their wedding vows, I am quite sure that in churches across the world, EVERYBODY is going to want to confess THEIR manifold sins and wickedness also. In fact, people might be quite disappointed if they dont get to ‘FESS UP. I know I would be.

Then you can try it at home – Get the original version in the 1662 Book of Common Prayer (download the whole book) and be sure to read it out loud to your whole group with an English accent. Having a Rowan Williams beard would help. Ladies can speak with a Maggi Dawn voice.
