Rob Frost Memorial: Jan 12th

Images-3-1Rob Frost, well known Christian leader in UK, passed away from cancer a few months ago. I was invited to attend his memorial service on Jan 12th but am not able to come. I fly into London the day after and will just miss it. I do want to say, however, what a lasting impression the man left on me after meeting him only twice. He interviewed me for Premier Radio and right after breakfast at a greasy but cheap and yummy restaurant, he was flying off to peach in the islands of north west Scotland. What a busy man! Last year I saw him again, this time on a boat in London, promoting the Pentecost Festival 08 event with his son Andy. As always, full of life and energy. Hard to imagine him gone.

Rob was strategically involved in Share Jesus and the Easter People for 20 years and heard God tell him that his last year’s event would be the last. He obeyed, and stopped it despite its success, and had a little more time to transition things towards this new focus on London and beyond – a project that I felt I should support and participate in. Rob Frost finished his race well, obedient to the end. God bless his family and especially Andy, who has an energy and calling that remind me of his Dad.
