Baptist Top 1000 and Christian Top 1000

Head2-1

Head

I am curious about the discrepancy between Baptist Top 1000 and Christian Top 1000. Can anyone tell me why the uber-cheesy yet HUGELY SUCCESSFUL Jerry’s Haven and Tell, the leading blog for both sites ever since i saw them, got 80,000 hits yesterday on the Baptist Top 1000 but only 10,000 hits for the Christian Top 1000?

Could it be that the sites are counting click-throughs, not actual hits? In other words, 80000 people went from BaptistTop1000 to Jerry’s Haven and only 10000 people went from ChristianTop1000 to Jerry’s Haven. Just speculatin’…

  • The Baptist 1000 is more Christian than the Christian 1000. ;-P (tongue firmly planted in cheek)

Maybe one only counts baptists 🙂

This isn’t baptist in the generic sense; its the “fundamental, KJV Christians on the Internet” (their words from their website) people who assert that they own the entire word “baptist.” 🙂 As Scott McKnight said of John MacArthur’s guys, “They’re kind of cute when they’re angry, and they’re angry a lot.” They certainly don’t speak for TSK’s supporting baptist group…
