Catholic Criticism:Domenico Bettinelli bemoans the “. . . many lapsed Catholics flocking to these “emerging churches,” the fruit of both The Scandal and two generations’ worth of poor catechesis.” and “losing more and more Catholics to the latest fads, trends, and “ear-tickling.”

Andrew Jones has been blogging since 1997. He is based in San Francisco with his two daughters but also travels the globe to find compelling stories of early stage entrepreneurs changing their world. Sometimes he talks in the third person. Sometimes he even talks to himself and has been heard uttering the name “Precious” :-)

  • Sad I couldn’t meet your family and you in Poland. Sent messages with everyone who is heading to FreakStock 😀 hope you get that all 😉
In the meanwhile, can you recommend a book on Islam for this purpose:
“few books that explains the history of the middle east and also the Islamic religion. I am writing a story and I am having a hard time finding books that go into deep and acurate detail about the middle east.”
The request came through my blog, but the only thing I could recommend is what Marc van der Woude is reading right now. If any other readers have good tips, drop me a line. Thanks!
    Blessings on all of you!!!
    greetings from Budapest!
