Being Transparent

Break time from my study and writing. Looking for quick and mindless diversions.

Transparency International is the most searched for word on Technorati.com right now. A German blogger named Moni has started something off with some posts about a friend – a working mother who apparently got a raw deal from her organization, which just happened to be Transparency International. Linky-dink has the links to language translations including a good place to start to understand the issues. Funnybusiness has a good post called “Whats all this fuss about Transparency?” Ahhh . . . just got myself a coffee.

Businesses should be transparent.

People should be transparent.

Churches should be transparent.

Here is me . . . being transparent:

Andrew, my dear internet pastor, I shall be transparent with you and say WRT Mark Driscoll apologizing, I now have to figure out why I still want to demonize him, push him into the “dirt” category by thinking things like “Well, that’s the only thing he could have done.” or “Yeah, it took being called out by his elders to make him do it.”:( Lord have mercy on me.

i wouldnt think that he was forced to. why not send him an email and let him know whats on your mind. you will find him quite friendly on a one to one.

I don’t really believe he was forced to. It’s just my “stinkin’ thinkin'”.
I’m not sure I would know what to say to him….Contemplating it makes me cry….It’s a jumble in my mind, all the parts connected to acceptance somehow… Lots tied to what I wrote to you last year about Piper’s book…
Must do my paid work now. Thanks for listening, Father Confessor- I give thanks for you.
