Off to Norway

Whats the first thing Andrew does when he arrives in London?
Goes to Norway, of course. I will be gone until Thursday next week and will be speaking at a few events there related to Church Planting and DAWN Europe.
Bloggers who will be there with me include Reinhold Scharnowski, Marc Van Der Woude, Kerstin Hack, to name a few.
This will be my first time in Norway. Its going to be FREEZING cold but there will be lots of good friends there. I am praying that I will be an encouragement to the churches and networks there. My subject is emerging culture and emerging church. I might be wrong, but I think norway is quite traditional, and yet has a fantastic track record in sending out missionaries who are just great, functional, balanced people.

norway was my favorite country in europe. enjoyed the hospitality of the people, and loved that dark brown goat cheese!
more importantly, i understand they also have had a significant revival a century or two ago, which led to the free/evangelical lutheran churches. wish i were there, even with the cold, to be part of this cool event! take good notes, friend … and also, to rephrase, make good notes for friends

I am glad that you made it to London safe and are now on your way to Norway! You have an outstanding attitude in all of this and Jesus is clearly shining through you. Rest in Him as your present world turns upside down and He will give you the peace you need. You remain a blessing.

I came across your blog and was wondering if you might be able to send me a list of vibrant contemporary churches in Norway that you might be aware of? I have a friend who occasionally visits the church I serve in VA and am hoping to help him find something comparable in his home country.
